THE ART OF DECISION MAKING

THE ART OF DECISION MAKING

Most people, for fear of making a wrong decision, wind up strugglling to make any decisions at all. What they do not realise is that, by not making a decision, they allow others and circumstances to decide for them.

HOW TO MAKE DIFFICULT DECISIONS

The knowledge and understanding that 'no single decision could ever be 100% right, correct or without a con,' will free you and help you make deisions quicker than you used to.

That is not to say that you should make reckless, thoughtless decisions. What it says is that after you have weighed the "alternative decisions" against each other, you should stop obsessing about whether the one that you are picking is the correct one or not. You should stop wondering and fearing that you will regret your decision because either of the best decisions can never be 100% right and can never be completely without a single disadvantage.

IN DECISION MAKING, MAKING NO DECISION IS A DECISION

Sitting on the fence is a very prickly thing; it cannot be comfortable having a picket up your butt. The longer you sit on the fence, the more injured you will become. Choosing not to make any decision is also a decision in itself. If you decide not to decide, a decision will be made for you. Not deciding is not choosing any of your best possible decisions, and it means making a choice that could possibly be far worse than your initial, well-thought-off decisions.

Just do your research, do your reflections and prayers, and just pick. Pick one or the other, it usually is not as serious as you make it up to be. Decide and choose by faith and vision, and not by fear. Procrastination does not equal perfection in decision making.
