In business presentations, people often want to create a certain perception of themselves; they want to portray a particular image. This is a positive thing, however, care needs to be taken in doing so.

You do not want to pressurise yourself, or put yourself under unnecessary pressure/strain. Always remember that the best person you can be is you - your genuine, authentic self. That is the best person to sell your business idea/product/service.

In a business address/sales pitch, as with other addresses, you need to pay particular attention to your appearance. This has to align with the type of product or service you are selling. Whatever product or service you are selling, always be well-groomed.

Do not mislead people: never present lies or sell by lying

You need to know your product/service in and out. This will boost your confidence levels and questions/objections would not be seen as intimadating or threatening.

Let the audience see and hear the passion and confidence you have on the idea/product/service; you can use examples and/or success stories were appropriate.

Smile and use appropriate humour; but remain professional. Guard against overselling.
