Stress is a normal part of our lives. On the good side, it helps us prepare ourselves for tasks at hand and do it properly. But stress can get out of hand and destroy us instead of gearing us into full performance. In public speaking, stress and the way it is managed, can define the outcome of your whole speech/presentation. In this issue, we give you some everyday ways of managing stress and making good stress work for you.

2. 5 Tips to managing and reducing stress in public speaking and in everyday living

* Do not tell a lie, nor do anything that would lead you to telling a lie later. Always be truthful.

* Concentrate on your strong points and learn to count your blessings.

* Get adequate sleep

* Plan ahead. If possible, do tomorrow's jobs today.

* Simplify, simplify, and simplify. Make your life simple, do not over-complicate things. Remember this quote: "Simplicity is the ultimate sohistication." - Authour unknown
