MAKING MATH MORE FUN WITH BOARD AND CARD GAMES!

TEACH THEM TO SET GOALS AND REACH FOR THEIR DREAMS!

Early childhood development (ECD) is a comprehensive approach to policies and programmes for pre-school children from birth to 5 years of age or even up to the age of 9 (Foundation phase/Grades 1-3) in some countries, with the ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF THEIR PARENTS AND/OR CAREGIVERS. Its purpose is to develop his or her full cognitive, emotional, social and physical potential.

ECD is simply put, developing children’s learning capacity to get them ready for school. This involves a number of specialized programmes and countries have stringent policies governing this aspect of learning and children’s rights to such a foundation.

MAKING MATH MORE FUN WITH GAMES!

It is believed that a child’s cognitive development (reading, language, vocabulary and numeracy) begins as soon as a child is born. Special programmes aimed at further development of these skills, as well as motor and sensory development, is important for enhanced performance in later years.

This is a highly specialized field which requires specialized training. Most Primary school teachers are not equipped for this kind of job.

TEACH THEM TO REACH FOR THEIR DREAMS!

CECD - Centre for early-childhood-development provides training, support and advice in the field of early childhood development by offering courses and programmes aimed at enhancing individual and organisational capacity; by developing and disseminating resources; and by carrying out research specifically related to the African context.
